TopicHow are you today? Part of emotional well-being is knowing the answer.

Unsure or experiencing mixed emotions?

Try this: Use the Emotions Wheel (you can find it here https://cedarcreek.tv/emotions) to identify what you’re feeling. Google the emotion + Bible says. Then pray or say the words of what the Bible says about it. For example, if you Google “uncertain + Bible”, here’s what came up from Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

To turn it into a prayer, start with Dear God, you tell me that...and then put in the words of the verse from Isaiah 41:10. Or you can just say this verse anytime you feel uncertain.  It's not that the uncertainty goes away (sometimes it does), but it helps us to name it, get curious about it and replace it with what God says about uncertainty. This can also work well in helping a friend. When they share how they are feeling with you, let them know you’ll be praying for them and then pray the verse for them.
