This past weekend we watched Devotion and learned about friendship both with others as well as the friendship Jesus offers us.

Carve out some time today, to dig into this week's message and explore some of the key points using the discussion questions below. Discuss with a friend or your group, or simply take some personal time to journal your answers and consider what God is trying to teach you this week.

Discussion Questions:

  • Icebreaker: Who was your best childhood friend and why?
  • In what ways do people "judge a book by its cover" when it comes to others?
  • Read 1 Samuel 16:7. What do you learn about the way God looks at us? How is this encouraging as compared to the world's approach?
  • Read 2 Corinthians 5:21. What do you learn about God's love for us? How does learning this affect your relationship with God?
  • Who can you get to know beyond the surface level and share the love of Christ with?

Series Theme Verse:

Romans 1:20

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
