We believe Baptism is a powerful way to show the world that you have decided to follow Jesus and live a new life in him. It is a symbol of your faith and obedience to your Savior.

• First, baptism identifies you with the death and burial of Jesus. When you are baptized, you are submerged under water to show that you have died to your old self and your sins. You are leaving behind your past and starting fresh with God. Romans 6:4
• Next, baptism identifies you with the resurrection of Jesus. When you are baptized, you are raised out of the water to show that you have been made alive with Christ. You are sharing in his victory over sin and death. You are receiving his power and presence in your life. Colossians 2:12
• Baptism declares your commitment to Jesus. When you are baptized, you are publicly professing your love and loyalty to him. You are saying that he is your Lord and Master and that you will follow him no matter what. You are joining his family and his mission in the world.
• Finally, baptism celebrates your new life in Christ. When you are baptized, you are rejoicing in what God has done for you and in you. You are thanking him for his grace and mercy. You are praising him for his goodness and faithfulness. You are also inviting others to join you in this celebration.
