Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for the city that you have sent me to. Thank you for our community, our neighborhoods, and the people that you placed around us. Forgive us for the times that we've been quicker to complain than to pray. Help us to see our community the way that you see it. Give us hearts to care for our neighbors. Show us where we can bring hope, kindness, and encouragement. Help us to be the kind of people that make our city better, open our eyes to the opportunities to serve others, and give us the courage to love people well. Would you bring peace and prosperity to our community? Would you bless our leaders with wisdom? Would you strengthen our schools, our businesses, our first responders, our community servants, and our churches? May more people come to know you through the way that we live in love. Use us to be an answer to this prayer. We ask in Jesus' name, amen.
