Prayer: 
God, I pray for the leaders you have appointed in every sphere of life — in our government, churches, communities, businesses, schools, and families. Give each leader wisdom and discernment to make good choices. Protect and guide them as they face daily challenges and pressures. God, help me to support and respect them with grace and confidence. Thank you for the opportunity to be a positive influence on the leaders in my life. In Jesus’ name, amen. 

Scripture: 
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. -1 Timothy 2:1-2
