Throughout this past week, we have read a variety of devotions reminding us of the peace Christ offers us. I pray you’ve had the opportunity to capture some time to be still in God’s presence and reflect on this.
Although Christmas proper has passed, we can celebrate the gift of Christ and what his birth means for our weary world everyday.
Today, I invite you to carve out a few quiet moments to reread the verses that really spoke to you this week. Some possibilities may come from last weekend’s message, such as John 1:4-5 or from one of this week’s devotions, such as James 1:17 or Luke 2:6-7. Then look back on the notes you captured from last Sunday and reflect on the actions you took this week.
Consider lighting a candle to remind you that Christ is the light who brought life to everyone. Then consider how you can be a light for others, pointing them toward Christ, so they may experience the peace he offers too.
Prayer:
Father, I praise you for your Son. Don’t let me lose sight of the precious gift you sent the world. It's so easy to get busy, but this year, let me be a light to others, reminding them of the peace, joy, and love you offer. Amen.
