Stressors are everywhere, but God gives us the strength to face them with his power and grace. What was something new you learned this week?
Take time to reflect on what you learned from God’s Word. Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and center your mind on Jesus. Then read 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, John 16:33, and/or 2 Timothy 1:7.
How do these verses encourage and help you surrender your stress to God? Look back on the notes you captured over the past few days, and jot down any additional thoughts you may have.
Prayer:
Lord, your word promises that you will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you (Isaiah 26:3). Today, God, help me do exactly that. When things become too much, and I am ready to pop, help me surrender my stress to you. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Ephesians 3:16-17
16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.
