Prayer: 
Thank you, God, for loving us so deeply and inviting us to share that love with others. Help us intentionally notice the people around us, and give us courage to step in when we see a need. Use our everyday conversations and our acts of kindness to help others see who you are. You are the light of the world. Help us live in a way that draws those who feel far from you into your light. Let our lives point them to the hope and grace found in Jesus. Help us trust you, follow your lead, and shine your light wherever we go. In Jesus' name, amen. 

Scripture: 
You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. - Matthew 5:14-16
