New Testament Reading Plan: 2 Timothy 3

Genesis 50:20
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”

Joseph's story is one of betrayal, hardship, and long seasons of waiting. Sold into slavery by his brothers, falsely accused, and forgotten in prison, his life looked nothing like a story headed for redemption. But through it all, God was working.

It would have been easy for Joseph to grow bitter, to stop trusting, or to believe that God had abandoned him. Instead, Joseph remained faithful. He honored God in the pit, Potiphar's house, and prison. In time, God elevated him to a position of significant influence, allowing him to save thousands, including the very brothers who betrayed him.

When Joseph finally said, "You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good," he wasn't pretending the pain wasn't real - he was declaring that God's purpose was greater than the pain.

Maybe you're in the middle of a difficult chapter or a season that feels unfair, lonely, or full of waiting. Like Joseph, you may not yet see what God is doing, but you can trust that nothing in God's hands will go to waste. He's working for your good and may also be positioning you to bless others in the process.

Questions:
Where can you trust that God is still working, even if it doesn't look good yet?

Where have you experienced pain, betrayal, or disappointment, and how might God use it for something greater?

Next Steps:
Be prayerful and journal about ways to honor and trust God, even when your current season doesn't make sense.

Take one step this week to use the purpose God has for you. If you haven't discovered your purpose, attend GrowthTrack to learn.

Prayer:
Lord, when I can't see the purpose, help me trust your plan. Use what this world meant to harm me for something greater. I trust you, God, and I desire my life to reflect the love you so freely give me. Let my story be for your glory and the good of others. In Jesus' name, amen.

Series Theme Verse:

2 Corinthians 1:20
For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.
