New Testament Reading Plan: Revelation 1

Philippians 1:6
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

This week, we are focusing on God's mission and how it continues through us today. From the early followers in Acts who turned the world upside down, to Jesus' command to love God and love one another, to his call to live with humility and to go and make disciples - God has always been at work through ordinary people who surrender their lives to him.

Let’s read the promise in Philippians 1:6 again: "And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns."

That means we don’t only celebrate what's behind us, but we lean forward with confidence, knowing God is still writing the story. The good work he began in our church 30 years ago continues to grow, multiply, and transform lives.

The good work he started in you personally is not finished either. Every act of service, every step of obedience, every conversation that points someone toward Jesus is part of God's bigger plan.

As a church family, let's celebrate what God has done - but let's not stop there. Let's continue to live boldly, love deeply, and step into the everyday opportunities God places before us because the best way to honor what God has already done is to keep saying "yes" to him today.

The movement isn't over. The mission hasn't changed. And the God who began the good work will be faithful to finish it.

Questions:
Where in your life do you feel "unfinished"? How does Philippians 1:6 encourage you in that area?

What step of obedience can you take today, trusting that God is already at work in you?

Next Steps:
Have you said "yes" to God publicly by taking the step of baptism? If you haven’t, prayerfully consider going public with your faith or talking to a pastor or someone at your campus to get more information.

Prayer:
Father, thank you for the good work you started in us and in our church. We celebrate every blessing and every hardship faced to get where we are today. We also trust that you are not finished with us yet. Keep our hearts focused on Jesus, who is both the author and finisher of our faith. Use our lives to point others to you until the day Christ returns. In Jesus' name, amen.

Series Theme Verse:

Acts 17:6 (NKJV)
But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.”
