Isaiah 64:4
For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!

As we look ahead this week, we are focusing on another powerful promise: God is always at work, even in the waiting, the hard, and the unexpected. When we read the story of Joseph in the book of Genesis chapters 37-50, we see how betrayal, delay, and difficulty were all part of God's bigger purpose. Joseph found himself in a long period of waiting, but through it all, he honored God.

In the Daily this week, we'll reflect on how to wait well. Whether you're in a season of clarity or chaos, these truths are worth tucking away for the days when life throws you a curveball. When we approach our days honoring God, serving others, and guarding our hearts, we can be sure he's weaving every thread into something good.

Even when life feels out of control, God is not. He is working not just for you but through you. I pray this reminder brings you peace today, and this promise from God makes your heart sing.

Discussion Questions:
Ice Breaker: What's your favorite unexpected ingredient that makes a meal (or dessert) better?

How does trusting God's timing and purpose help us encourage others in our church or community who are in a hard season?

Read Genesis 50:14–21: How does Joseph’s response to his brothers reveal his understanding of God’s control over the events of his life? In what ways can believing in God’s sovereignty help bring peace in seasons of uncertainty or waiting?

Where have you experienced pain, betrayal, or disappointment, and how might God use it for something greater?

Reflect and Respond: What's one area this week, whether through worship, serving, or surrendering control, where you can choose to trust God's process?

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, you do marvelous things beyond what I can imagine or see. I will never fully grasp the incredible plans you have for me. Help me trust your unseen hand even when I cannot understand the twists and trials before me. Increase my faith to rest in your sovereign love and to walk humbly with confidence, knowing you are working all things together for my good and your glory. In Jesus' name, amen.

Series Theme Verse:

2 Corinthians 1:20
For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.
