Weekend Series: Transforming a Nation

DreamTeam Writer: Kelly Pagel

Sunday, July 28, 2024

We are in the fourth and final week of our series, Transforming a Nation. We have been reading the book of Titus which shares a wealth of information on how to live out the Gospel. In his letter, Paul offers instruction to five groups of people on how to live in a way that transforms our communities. His reason for this is not simply to be good people but as a response to the kindness and love we have received through Christ.

Titus 3:4-6
4 But—When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, 5 he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. 6 He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.

True transformation is all about Jesus.

This week, invite God to open your eyes to the places where he wants to transform you so you can help be a light for him. Ask him to show you how you can live wisely and in a way that reflects wholesome teaching. Consider recording your responses in a journal, whether digital or hard copy. It's a great way to be able to look back on the adventure God has you on.

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for the transformation you offer us through Christ. It is because of him that we have new life. Today help me set my priorities to match yours and live in a way that brings you glory. I want to be a light in the darkness and draw others towards the life and peace you offer. In Jesus’ name, amen.
