When you think about what you're investing in, what comes to mind first? Not just in your finances or in your possessions, but also in your time, thoughts, energy, and desires.
Every day, we make decisions that reveal what we value most, and the things we pursue are shaping who we're becoming.
Matthew 6:24
No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
Jesus makes it clear in this verse that we can't live with divided loyalties. There's no way to fully love God while also serving the things of this world.
That doesn't mean we should never enjoy life, but it does mean we need to check where our devotion lies.
Earthly pleasures fade, but what's done for God and through God lasts forever. It's choosing generosity over greed, purpose over popularity, and surrender over self.
It's not always flashy, but it's deeply fulfilling.
When we serve God first, everything else finds its rightful place.
