As you step into the days ahead, remember not everything that looks spiritual is from God. Many counterfeit paths promise joy, purpose, or closeness to him, but lead us away from truth by deceiving us. They may feel good in the moment or even look right from the outside, but they can't produce lasting life or unshakeable joy.

John 16:13
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.

Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would guide us "into all truth." That means you don't have to guess or wonder what's right because God himself has placed his Spirit within you to lead, protect, and reveal what is real.

The Spirit's voice is steady, clear, and trustworthy. Follow the promptings of the Spirit, and you'll not only avoid deceptors but you'll also discover the fullness of joy and life God has for you.

Ice Breaker: What’s one thing you’ve held onto for a long time because you knew it was valuable or meaningful? Why is it so important to you?

How can we create an environment that helps people discern truth from deception and grow in joy together?

Read 1 John 2:18-25: According to this passage, what are some of the ways we can guard ourselves against deception? How does “remaining in the Son and in the Father” help us stay grounded in truth?

Whether from outside voices, culture, or even internal doubts, where in your own life have you experienced the challenge of discerning truth from falsehood?

This week, what’s one practical step you can take to lean into the Holy Spirit’s leading in your life? And once you hear a prompting, how will you take steps to follow this guidance joyfully?

Heavenly Father, we ask you to open our hearts and minds to welcome those who come to us, whether in person or online. We believe that you have brought them here by your divine plan. We praise you for the amazing opportunity to share with them your love for us and for them. Open their hearts to hear your voice today. As we go on, give us insight as we explore new ways to spread your love, and help us to do everything for your honor. Amen.
