Has God ever put a dream or goal on your heart that was so big it couldn’t succeed without him? 

It’s exciting to think about, but at the same time, all that risk can make us reply to God’s offer with "Nah, I’m good.”

But God created us to do amazing things for the advancement of his Kingdom.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

Sometimes, we need to take calculated risks to move forward. But just talking about it isn’t going to advance the dream—we need to step out in faith. 

• Faith that there is another way.
• Faith to see what others don’t see. 
• Faith to take a risk.
• Faith to endure the difficulties we will meet along the way.

Today, consider how God is asking you to live by faith. Then respond to the following questions and reflect on how you can take a step or two forward.

Discussion Questions:
Icebreaker: Are you the type of person who falls down and gets up again? Why or why not?

Why do some people avoid taking risks?

Read Hebrews 11:1 and James 2:17. What do you learn about faith?

Where is God inviting you to step out in faith?

What is one thing you can do to live from God's power? (2 Timothy 1:7) 

Prayer:
Lord, you created us in your image. We are your masterpiece and you have great plans to utilize our gifts to build your Kingdom—plans so big that they sometimes seem impossible. But Lord, nothing is impossible with you. Help me to step forward in boldness and live in faith, knowing you will be walking alongside me the entire way. In Jesus’ name, amen.
