Weekend Series: Your Journey

DreamTeam Writer: Lori Tuckerman

Sunday, May 4, 2025

This week in Your Journey, we are looking at two more domains, the physical and mental, and what the Bible teaches us about them.

As you start this new week, pause for honest reflection. Where have you seen growth in your life lately? What areas feel stuck or unsettled? And where might God be gently nudging you to take the next step?

Following Jesus isn't about having it all figured out - it's about being open to the process of change. One step at a time. One area at a time.

This journey isn't limited to the spiritual areas of your life. It touches everything: your mindset, your relationships, your work, and your rest. It's not about striving for perfection but responding to God's invitation to go on a life-changing adventure with him.

Discussion Questions:
Ice Breaker: What have you done to care for your mind or body recently?

What would our community look like if we all believed our minds and bodies were sacred spaces where God dwells?

Read 1 Corinthians 6:19–20: What would it look like to treat your body and mind like they belong to God?

What are some "junk" mental or physical thoughts or habits you've allowed to pile up? How have they impacted your ability to see yourself the way God sees you?

Reflect and Respond: What's one intentional step you could take this week to honor God with your mind or body? Spend a moment journaling or praying about how God might be inviting you into a place where you are fit and fueled for the purpose he has for you.

Prayer:
Father God, thank you for being with me in every part of life. Help me notice where I'm growing and show me where you're leading me next. Shape my thoughts, guide my body, and remind me this journey is about progress, not perfection. I love you, trust you, and worship you. Amen.

Series Theme Verse:
John 8:31-32
Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
