Some hallelujahs come easily, while others are hard-fought.
This week, we've been talking about moving from survival to calling - about letting God rewrite what we once thought was the end of our story. Yet maybe you find yourself still in the middle, wrestling, trying to control the outcome because letting go feels too risky.
So here’s the question for you: What is your hard-fought hallelujah?
Maybe your hallelujah is the praise that came after the loss, after addiction, betrayal, or a heart-stopping diagnosis. Or perhaps you haven't been able to say it yet - because you're still holding tightly to the situation, waiting for clarity before you surrender.
As we reflect on this week, I want to gently encourage you to let it go.
The song "Hard Fought Hallelujah," performed by Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll, resonates because it tells the truth. Praise isn't always polished. Sometimes it's cracked, tear-stained, or barely whispered.
But glory - the goodness, power, and love of God on display - often shines brightest in those moments.
As we take off the old self and put on the new, we become living evidence of that glory, and our surrendered stories become worship.
Do you have a hard-fought hallelujah story to share? We’d love to hear how God is rewriting yours. Share Your Story.
Prayer:
God, you’ve been patient, gracious, and faithful - whatever I’m feeling or facing. So here I am. I’m not polished or perfect, but I’m willing. I bring you my “hard-fought, heartfelt, it-is-well hallelujah.” Even from somewhere in the middle, I ask you to be glorified in me. Amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Colossians 3:10
Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.
