Jesus invites us to grow by moving from consumers of faith to contributors of his love. The Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19) call us outward to love deeply and go boldly.
When we live from the freedom Jesus speaks about in our series verse, John 8:31-32, we see everything differently. We stop attaching strings and keeping score. We start showing up - at church, at home, and in our community - with love to give, not just something to receive.
As we reflect on this week, consider this:
Are you approaching church and your faith with the mindset of what can I get or what can I give?
Let your actions be a response to the love that has no limits, no conditions, and no strings attached.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank you for loving me freely and fully. Help me to live from that love, not just to receive it, but to reflect it. Shift my heart from consuming to contributing, from getting to giving. Let my life be a response to your grace. I love you, trust you, and worship you. Amen.
Series Theme Verse:
John 8:31-32
Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
