Throughout this past week, we’ve explored how change is immediate, but transitions take time.
By celebrating what God has done, we not only find joy in the moment but also give God the glory as we point others to him.
Joshua 4:24
“He did this so all the nations of the earth might know that the Lord’s hand is powerful, and so you might fear the Lord your God forever.”
Today, I invite you to carve out a few quiet moments to reread the verses that really spoke to you this week. Some possibilities may come from last weekend’s message, such as Joshua 1:9 or Acts 20:24. Then look back on the notes you captured from last Sunday and reflect on the actions you took this week.
You may consider making additional notes as you explore the following questions:
What have you learned about God this week?
How can you celebrate the progress and give God the glory so that others may come to know him?
21 Days of Prayer
Day 20—Growth
Today’s Prayer Focus: For Growth (Ephesians 4:15 )
Today’s Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I am not who I was before I met you—and it’s all because of you. Thank you for the growth I have been through, and I’m grateful that you’re not finished with me yet! Teach me to be more and more like your Son every day. Help me to submit humbly to the situations you use to change my heart, even when I wouldn’t choose them for myself. Above all else, may I grow in love for you and for others. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Romans 12:2
Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
