This week, we're diving deeper into the powerful promise found in Philippians 1:6 - that God, who began a good work in you, will carry it on to completion.
Even when we feel like we're not enough or wonder if we're making progress, God is faithful and still at work.
Our part? Keep showing up, trust the process, and lean into grace, not just for ourselves but also for others.
Discussion Questions:
Ice Breaker: What's something in your life you started with good intentions but never quite finished?
Why do you think it's so easy to believe in quick fixes, even in our faith, instead of trusting God to work over time?
Read Hebrews 12:1-2: What "weights" or doubts do you need to break through that are slowing you down in your faith journey? How can keeping your eyes fixed on Jesus help you trust that he's still at work in you?
When are you most tempted to believe the lie that you're "not good enough"? What quick fix do you usually reach for: muscling through it, ignoring it, or downplaying it?
Reflect & Respond: How can you take one step this week to stop hiding and trust that God is still working in you? What would it look like for you to show up, cracks and all?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I am continually thankful for the work you have already done in my life. As I look ahead into this week, I am certain you will be there to guide, encourage, and love me through even the hard stuff and the places I'm lacking in strength. Please help me to trust that you're not finished with me yet. Remind me that I don't have to strive for perfection, but I only need to stay close to you. I walk into this week with peace and hope in your promises. In Jesus' name, amen.
Series Theme Verse:
2 Corinthians 1:20
For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.
