1 Peter 5:7
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
Every one of us carries disruptions from life's storms that don't always show on the surface - old hurts, disappointments, or regrets that quietly weigh us down. Sometimes, it's not the wind or waves around us that cause the most trouble, but the weight of what we refuse to release.
Peter reminds us to “give all your worries and cares to God,” not just the new ones, but the ones that have followed us for years. Why? Because God truly cares about us, and his love reaches beyond our mistakes and the years we’ve held onto them.
In other words, freedom begins when surrender happens. When we bring our burdens to him, we’re not denying the pain of the past, but we’re trusting God to redeem us from the heartache of it. The moment we stop clinging to our own control, we make room for his peace to take hold.
Whatever storm you’re walking through - or whatever storm still lingers from long ago - God is bigger. He invites us all to let go.
Storms are inevitable, but despair is optional. When we release our worries into his hands, we make room for his peace to flood our hearts. So, lift your eyes above the storm and trust Jesus to be there, waiting for you to let go and let him help you through it.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for the overwhelming comfort you offer me. I know I have not done anything to deserve it, but you continue to provide it without hesitation. Your promises are wonderful. Whether there is a storm on the horizon or not, today I’m trusting in the beauty of the promises you’ve made to me. I love you, I trust you, and I worship you. In Jesus' name, I pray, amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Romans 1:20
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
