Psalm 46:10a
“Be still, and know that I am God!”

Stillness has a way of telling the truth. When the noise quiets and the pace slows, it allows space for what's been drifting beneath the surface to rise. Drifts - like the places we've lingered too long, unhealthy habits we've developed, and subtle ways our hearts have leaned away without meaning to.

So today, let's pause and ask the honest questions:
God, where am I drifting?
God, where am I lingering?
God, where have I settled?

Ask these questions, not from a place of shame or guilt, but with openness. Because God doesn't expose drifts to condemn us - he reveals them to gently guide us to the place he intended us to be before we drifted.

One way to do this is simply to call the name of Jesus. In the moment you feel overwhelmed, distracted, or off course, his name steadies what feels unsteady and can help us recenter what's wandered.

Stillness helps us notice. His name helps us return.

So, as you reflect today, if you sense God gently tugging at your heart, don't rush past it. Be still. Call on Jesus. Let him meet you right where you are, and lead you back to a path you're meant to be on.

21 Days of Prayer and Fasting - Day 13

Today’s Prayer Focus: To be like Christ in my Relationships

Prayer:
Dear Lord, please help me be like you in all of my relationships with others. Please help me humble myself and think of the needs of others before my own. Teach me to see how I can serve those around me. Please show me the places in my life where I can make others feel like they matter and let them know that they are not alone. Amen.

Series Theme Verse:
Hebrews 2:1
So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.
