Bible in a Year: Psalms 63-65 | Acts 24

There are times when we hear the words “be strong” and sense the subtle pressure to act like we have it all together. As if it’s a call to persevere, stay tough, and hide any sign of struggle.

Scripture offers us a gentler, truer definition of strength - the kind that comes from being secure in the love we receive from God.

Romans 8:38
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow - not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.

That promise doesn’t just speak to today; it speaks to our future.

No matter what lies ahead - no matter how uncertain, complicated, or unfamiliar the journey becomes - our future is held in love. Not a fragile or conditional love, but a steady, faithful, unbreakable love.

When we think about the future, it’s easy for fear to fill in the blanks. What if things fall apart? What if I’m not enough? What if disappointment or loss finds me?

But Scripture quietly reorients those questions.

What if - no matter what comes - you are never without God’s love?

There is nothing ahead of us that has the power to separate us from God. No season, mistake, diagnosis, or unknown. When you consider the love Jesus has for you, your future is not defined by uncertainty - it is wrapped in divine affection.

This means you don’t have to face tomorrow striving to prove yourself, guard your heart, or control every outcome. You get to walk forward knowing you are already chosen, cherished, and secure.

So, as you step forward, let your heart be open - not just to the future, but to the possibility that love can truly change you. Be open to let love shape your strength, soften your fears, and transform your life.

Because whatever your future holds, it will never be empty of his love.

Questions:
Where do you need to stop striving and start trusting?

Where do you need to stop and see what is already true?

Next Steps:
Stop waiting for the weekend message or church events to know God or to share his love. At the next opportunity, consider attending GrowthTrack or joining a DreamTeam to live and serve in community with others. Share what you learn from Scripture. Invite someone to church, and pray for them to join you.

Prayer:
God, help me see myself more clearly. I love you, I trust you, and I worship you. Amen.

Series Theme Verse:

Colossians 3:10
Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.
