Have you ever faced a situation that felt bigger than you could manage?

Sometimes, life presents challenges that go far beyond our strength, wisdom, or resources. These moments remind us of our limitations and our deep need for help beyond ourselves.

In fact, the Bible shows us that many of our greatest struggles are not just physical or emotional but spiritual in nature as well. Scripture reveals a spiritual battle beyond what we can see.

Ephesians 6:12
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Not every struggle is demonic, but there are moments when you may feel trapped, stuck, or powerless to overcome what holds you back.

When you only focus on what you can see, it’s easy to miss your need for supernatural help.

The good news is that you do not have to face these battles alone. Jesus holds authority over every force that opposes God's purpose, and he invites you to bring your struggles to him, trusting that his power is greater than anything you face.

As you look ahead into this week, remember: You don't have to face your struggles alone. Depend on Jesus, not your own strength. Whatever you’re carrying today, place it in his hands and trust that he can do what you cannot.

Discussion Questions:

Ice Breaker: Have you ever been surprised by someone's kindness?

Why do some people believe they're beyond help or beyond hope?

Read Mark 5:1-20: What do you think Mark wants us to notice most: the demons, the pigs, or the man? Why?

Have you ever felt stuck in a habit, fear, regret, or struggle that seemed impossible to overcome?

Reflect & Respond: How has Jesus shown you mercy, and how might sharing that story encourage someone else? Ready to Share Your Story?

Prayer:
Lord, I confess that I cannot overcome every struggle on my own. Thank you for fighting for me and for inviting me to bring my battles to you. Help me to trust your power and seek your help in every area where I feel stuck. I love you, I trust you, and I worship you. Amen.
