Life is full of destinations. Some are big milestones, like building a career, growing a family, or discovering our God-given purpose. Others are quiet and personal, like finding peace, building character, or deepening our faith. No matter what your destination looks like, getting there rarely happens by accident.
Scripture shows us that God doesn't just care about where we're going; he cares how we get there. He offers guidance, not just in the big decisions but in the daily steps. As we navigate work, relationships, and challenges, he gives us wisdom through his Word, people to walk alongside us, and signs to help us stay on track.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
You don't need to have everything figured out. Instead, you are invited to trust God is leading the way. When you walk with him, you're not just wandering. You're being led purposefully.
Discussion Questions:
Ice Breaker: What's the most memorable road trip you've ever taken? What made it so unforgettable?
What "giants" do you see in our communities, workplaces, or schools that keep us from moving forward?
Read Numbers 13:19-32 and Numbers 14:41-45: What do you notice about how the Israelites responded to the promise and the roadblocks? What role did fear, faith, and leadership play in their chosen direction?
Which of the four "Rules" (Know where you're going; Be prepared for roadblocks; Choose the right passengers; or Pay attention to the signs.), do you most need to focus on in your current season?
Reflect and Respond: How would you define your current "there"?
Who is someone you trust to help guide you toward your "there," and how can you lean into their encouragement or accountability?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for being a guide I can trust. Help me pause and lean into you when I’m unsure of the path ahead. Give me the wisdom to recognize your voice, the courage to take the next step, and the faith to follow even when the road feels uncertain. I love you, I trust you, and I worship you. Amen.
