This week has been a reminder of something we often forget: you are not fighting for freedom, you are living from it.
Because of Jesus, your freedom has already been purchased, and your sin has already been forgiven.
2 Corinthians 5:17
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
If you belong to Christ, you are a new person. Not a slightly improved version of your old self, but completely made new. The old life is gone.
That means the shame, labels, and lies you’ve been carrying do not get the final say.
Freedom becomes real when we bring what’s hidden into the light. So don’t just think about it—say it.
“Jesus, you already paid for this… (name it). I don’t have to carry it anymore. I am not my past. I am chosen for freedom.”
As you reflect, let gratitude rise. We praise God not because we have it all together, but because he has already done what we could not do for ourselves.
If you need a moment to let that truth sink in, listen to Thank God I'm Free and let the words remind your heart: freedom isn’t just possible—it’s yours.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for choosing me and paying for my freedom. I give you the things I’ve been carrying and trying to hide, and I receive your forgiveness and truth in their place. Help me walk in the new life you've given me, fully free and no longer defined by my past. Amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Ephesians 1:5
God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
