Throughout this past week, we’ve had the opportunity to consider the importance of celebrating all that God is doing in our lives instead of being disappointed about all that we haven’t yet achieved. By celebrating what God has done, we not only find joy in the moment but also give God the glory as we point others to him.
Joshua 4:24
“He did this so all the nations of the earth might know that the Lord’s hand is powerful, and so you might fear the Lord your God forever.”
Today, I invite you to carve out a few quiet moments to reread the verses that really spoke to you this week. Some possibilities may come from last weekend’s message, such as Joshua 5:13-14 or Philippians 2:12-13. Then look back on the notes you captured from last Sunday and reflect on the actions you took this week.
You may consider making additional notes as you explore the following questions:
What have you learned about God this week?
How can you celebrate the progress and give God the glory so others may come to know him?
21 Days of Prayer
Day 13—Relationships
Today’s Prayer Focus: To be like Christ in my Relationships (Philippians 2:3-4)
Prayer:
Dear Lord, please help me be like you in all of my relationships with others. Please help me humble myself and think of the needs of others before my own. Teach me to see how I can serve those around me. Please show me the places in my life where I can make others feel like they matter and let them know that they are not alone. Amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Romans 12:2
Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
