As we pause to reflect, take a moment to look back on what we've been reminded of:
You are chosen.
You are known.
You are wanted.
You are secure in God’s love.
Not because of what you’ve done, but because of who he is.
It's easy to hear truths like these and still feel like there must be something more required. Like we need to prove it, earn it, or somehow become more deserving.
But the beauty of the gospel is this: All we have “to do” to receive the full benefits of this love is accept Jesus as our Savior, trust him, and allow him to transform our hearts.
John 3:16
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
When John says “everyone,” that includes you!
No matter your past or current situation, you are deeply loved by God and matter to him.
As you go on with your day, hold onto this truth and let it settle in your heart.
Take a specific step today: talk to God, trust him with your concerns, and open yourself to receiving his love.
Begin to live like you are truly chosen - because you are!
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank you for your incredible love and the gift of salvation. I accept you as my Savior and trust you with my life. Transform my heart and help me remember that I am truly loved and chosen by you. Guide me to live in this truth today. Amen.
Series Theme Verse:
Ephesians 1:5
God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
