When we choose to give, we're choosing to trust God as our provider rather than relying solely on what we can earn or accumulate. And when we learn to be content with what he's given us instead of constantly chasing more, our hearts begin to shift, and we discover the joy of using what we have to make a difference.
Friends, this impact doesn't stop with us. God can use our generosity to remind someone they're seen, meet a need they couldn't meet on their own, or show his love in a way words alone never could.
That's the beautiful thing about generosity. God doesn't just work through what we give; he works in us as we learn to give. Little by little, our grip on what we have loosens, our trust in him grows, and our hearts become more aligned with his.
So, don't underestimate what God can do through a willing heart. You may never know the full impact of your generosity on someone else's life. But as you give, you may discover that God is changing your life, too.
Spend time reflecting on what God may want to change in you through your generosity.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for being my provider. Help me trust you with what I have, grow in contentment, and love others with open hands. Use my generosity to bless others and continue shaping my heart to look more like yours. I love you, I trust you, and I worship you. Amen.
Series Theme Verse:
1 Timothy 6:6-7
Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it.
